Meet the team!!

All the videos and audio tracks from each of these projects couldn’t have been made possible without the hard work of our mighty crew. Made up of freelance professionals, each member of the Ambedo Production team has adapted to each project making it an enjoyable experience for both staff and artists.

Ellen McGovern

General Manager and Audio Lead

Ellen is a flautist and Uilleann Piper who has grown up performing within the Manchester-Irish community. Also alumni of EFDSS’ National Youth Folk Ensemble, Ellen found her passion for sound engineering from her days on tour with the ensemble, encouraging her to move to Liverpool to complete her BA in Audio Production at SAE Institute. Ambedo productions LTD stemmed from Ellen’s dissertation project that looked at how acoustically interesting spaces can affect a performance and how this is presented through the Folk genre.

 
 

Ben Roberts

Videography and Photography Lead

Having started out as a Tour and Artist manager, Ben honed his videography skills. Starting up his company, Polyphonica, he creates content for artists, labels and music businesses. He has captured footage at both live gigs for artists as well as from his videography studio in Liverpool both for live videos and photoshoots.

Kate Larmer

Camera Operator and Film Editor

Born and bred Australian, Kate moved to Liverpool to explore her passion for film, beginning her studies at SAE Institute in Film. During her time at uni, Kate directed and wrote a number of short films, some of which have been entered in various film festivals across England. As well as directing, Kate has also filmed a number of live gig performances for bands as well as volunteering as a camera operator at the Liverpool Digital Music Festival 2020.

Maeve McGovern

Camera Operator and Film Editor

As a banjo player, Maeve has grown up performing both locally and globally with friends and as a member of EFDSS’ National Youth Folk Ensemble. As well as being a talented folk musician, Maeve has also worked on many film sets as a camera operator and director, having started her film studies with the British Film Institute. Since then Maeve has recently finished attending a 3 month course with the New York Film Academy before she begins her degree at the London Film Academy in September.
