Williamson Tunnel’s Videos

Inspired by our recording of Ciara Owens, the Williamson Tunnels have decided to record and film a collective of musicians (including our Directing Manager, Ellen on the Uilleann Pipes) in various places within the vast tunnels under Liverpool. We were super excited to see the glowing review we got from Folk Radio UK’s Dave McNally for their Editor’s Choice on our debut album ‘Locations’. The review raves about the “aural delights” found in each of the tracks in the “variety of resonant places” as well as acknowledging the musicianship and work that has gone in behind the scenes of each venue. We have been travelling alongside Bluespace Productions to produce a series of videos that look at the history, community and some of the achievements of the 7 Comhaltas branches within the Northern Regions in England. Most of these branches have been teaching music through the years and have some alumni musicians featured in some of our session videos!!
